Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;

let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before Him with thanksgiving

and extol Him with music and song.

For the LORD is the great God,

the great King above all gods.

In His hand are the depths of the earth,

and the mountain peaks belong to Him.

The sea is His, for He made it,

and His hands formed the dry land.

Come, let us bow down in worship,

let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.

Sing to the LORD a new song;

Sing to the LORD, all the earth.

Sing to the LORD, praise His name;

proclaim His salvation day after day.

Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.

For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before Him,

strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness;

tremble before Him, all the earth.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it;

Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.

Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the LORD.

Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things;

His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him.

The LORD has made His salvation known

and revealed His righteousness to the nations.

He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;

all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,

burst into jubilant song with music;

make music to the LORD with the harp,

with the harp and the sound of singing,

with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn-shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

Let the rivers clap their hands, Let the mountains sing together for joy.

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Serve the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God.

It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;

give thanks to Him and praise His name.

For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;

His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Praise the LORD, O my soul;

all my inmost being, praise His holy name.

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases;

He redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.

He satisfies my desires with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever;

He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him;

as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him;

Praise the LORD, O my soul, O LORD my God,

you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.

He wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the heavens like a tent

and lays the beams of His upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds His chariot

and rides on the wings of the wind. He makes winds His messengers, flames of fire His servants.

He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.

You set a boundary they cannot cross;

never again will they cover the earth.

He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains.

They give water to all the beats of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thrist.

The birds of the air nest by the waters;

They sing among the branches.

He waters the mountains from His upper chambers;

the earth is satisfied by the fruit of His work.

I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you-the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm-He will watch over your life;

the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.

Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-

for He grants sleep to those He loves.

Sons are a heritage from the LORD.

Children a reward from Him.

Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one¡¯s youth.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, LORD;

O LORD, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

If You, LORD, kept a record of sins,

O LORD, who could stand?

But with You there is forgiveness;

therefore You are feared.

I wait for the LORD, my souls waits,

and in His word I put my hope.

My soul waits for the LORD more than watchmen wait for the morning,

Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.

O Israel, put your hope in the LORD,

for with the LORD is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption.

He Himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

O LORD, You have searched me and You know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar.

You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue You know it completely, O LORD.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,

even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

I cry aloud to the LORD;

I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.

I pour out my complaint before Him;

before Him I tell my trouble.

When my spirit grows faint whthin me, it is You who know my way.

In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me.

Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge;

no one cares for my life.

I cry to You, O LORD.

I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need;

rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.

Set me free from my prison that I may praise Your name.

Then the righteous will gather about me because of Your goodness to me.

O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy;

in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.

Do not bring Your servant into judgment.

for no one living is righteous before You.

The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.

I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all Your works and consider what Your hands have done.

I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for You like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit faints with longing.

For Your name¡¯s sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in Your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.

In Your unfailing love, silence my emenies;

destroy all my foes, for I am Your servant.

Praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary;

praise Him in His mighty heavens.

Praise Him for His acts of power;

praise Him for His surpassing greatness.

Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet,

praise Him with the harp and lyre,

praise Him with tambourine and dancing,

praise Him with the strings and flute,

praise Him with the clash of cymbals,

praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,

for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.

She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.

Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed.

By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding He set the heavens in place;

by His knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.

from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,

for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

The desert and the parched land will be glad;

the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus,

it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.

They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened

and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb shout for joy.

water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness.

The unclean will not journey on it; but only the redeemed will walk there,

and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing;

everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD;

make straight in the wilderness a highway for God.

Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low;

the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.

and the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it.

For the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

A voice says, "Cry out." And I said, "What shall I cry?"

"All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these?

He who brings out the starry host one by one,

and calls them each by name.

Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD;

my cause is disregarded by my God"?

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

"Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight;

I will put my Spirit on Him, and He will bring justice to the nations.

He will not shout or cry out, or raise His voice in the streets.

A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. In faithfulness He will bring forth justice;

He will not falter or be discouraged till He establishes justice on earth.

In His law the islands will put their hope."

"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.

I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.

To open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison

and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money,

come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

Why spend money on what is not bread,

and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,

and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Give ear and come to Me;

hear Me, that your soul may live.

I will make an everlasting covenant with you,

My faithful love promised to David."

Seek the LORD while He may be found;

call on Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD.

And He will have mercy on him,

and to our God, for He will freely pardon.

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke,

to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-

when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;

then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;

you will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I."

"If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

and if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

then your light will rise the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy needs in a sunscorched land and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
